About the Role
We are seeking a strategic, data-driven leader to drive digital strategy and business development across Japan and the wider APAC region. This role will focus on building and expanding digital partnerships and licensing deals across platforms such as streaming services, social media, gaming, and emerging digital ecosystems.
You will play a key role in identifying growth opportunities, structuring high-impact partnerships, and translating complex data into clear strategic narratives for internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Deal Execution & Licensing
Lead end-to-end negotiations for digital partnerships in Japan, including streaming, social, gaming, fitness, and emerging platforms
Structure commercial terms, evaluate deal economics, and optimize revenue models
Leverage industry relationships to identify new partnership opportunities and enhance existing ones
Deal Valuation & Financial Analysis
Build, refresh, and maintain financial models to assess deal performance, ROI, and long-term value
Conduct data-driven analysis to support negotiation strategies
Track market benchmarks (rates, growth trends, market share) to inform pricing and deal structures
Strategic Planning & Presentation Development
Develop high-quality presentations and business cases for senior leadership, internal stakeholders, and external partners
Clearly communicate complex strategies, performance insights, and market landscapes
Support the development of local and regional digital strategies using quantitative and qualitative analysis
Data Analysis & Business Intelligence
Analyze platform performance, market trends, and consumer behavior to generate actionable insights
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Support deal analysis and workflow activities across the broader business development team
Work closely with Legal, Finance, Marketing, and other internal teams to ensure alignment with business priorities
Requirements
Experience: 5+ years in business development, strategy, or a related commercial role
Negotiation & Deal-Making: Proven experience leading complex, end-to-end negotiations for digital partnerships, licensing agreements, or strategic alliances
Strategic & Commercial Acumen: Strong ability to evaluate and prioritize new business opportunities and translate data into actionable recommendations
Communication & Storytelling: Excellent presentation and storytelling skills; able to simplify complex deal structures for diverse audiences
Industry Network: Established relationships with senior stakeholders at digital platforms, media/technology companies, or emerging digital services (regional and/or global)
Collaboration: Team-oriented mindset with the ability to thrive in cross-functional environments
Bonus (Not Essential): Interest in music, entertainment, or intellectual property frameworks is a plus; industry training will be provided
Languages: Fluent Japanese (spoken and written) and business-level English required

市場のベンチマーク(レート、成長率、シェアなど)を追跡し、価格や条件に反映
戦略立案・プレゼン
経営陣や社内外パートナー向けのクオリティの高いプレゼン資料・ビジネスケース作成
複雑な戦略や市場状況を、誰にでもわかりやすく伝える
日本および地域全体のデジタル戦略立案を、データとインサイトでサポート
データ分析・インサイト
プラットフォームのパフォーマンス、市場トレンド、ユーザー行動を分析し、すぐに使える示唆を出す
チーム連携
事業開発チーム全体のディール分析やワークフローをサポート

ビジネス開発、戦略、または関連する商業領域で5年以上の経験
デジタルパートナーシップ、ライセンス契約、戦略的アライアンスなどの複雑な交渉をリードした実績
新規事業機会を評価・優先順位付けし、データを具体的な提案に変えられる商業センス
