The Controls Engineer supports live entertainment projects including concert tours, live performances, theme parks, and immersive experiences. This role is responsible for the design, commissioning, and operation of PLC, SCADA, and HMI-based control systems across touring and permanent installations.

You will work closely with engineering, production, and project teams on both domestic and international projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and commission control systems for live and touring productions

• Install and support PLC, SCADA, and HMI systems

• Perform factory acceptance testing (FAT), on-site commissioning, and site acceptance testing (SAT)

• Provide technical support during rehearsals and live shows

• Troubleshoot and maintain electrical and control systems

• Upgrade and replace control hardware and software components

• Collaborate with production teams, clients, and venue stakeholders

• Prepare technical documentation and service reports

• Ensure compliance with safety standards and internal policies

Requirements

Required

• Valid work authorization in Japan

• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally

• Business-level Japanese and English

• 2–5 years of experience as a Controls Engineer

• PLC experience (Allen-Bradley or Siemens)

• SCADA and HMI experience

Preferred

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related field

• Experience in live entertainment, touring, theme parks, or immersive installations

• Experience with safety PLCs or show control systems

• 制作チーム・クライアントとの技術的な調整・連携

• 技術レポート、設計資料の作成・レビュー

• 安全基準および社内ポリシーの遵守
